전남도는 지난해 11월부터 올해 2월까지 4개월간 취약계층 3만 7천여 가구를 발굴해 맞춤형 지원을 실시했다고 밝혔다. 이번 지원은 특히 화재 예방과 난방 지원 등 실질적인 생활 불편 해소에 초점을 맞췄다.

이번 집중 지원 대상 중에는 독거노인 가구가 2만 3,861가구(65.3%)로 가장 많았으며, 장애인 가구(8.7%), 어르신 부부 가구(7.5%), 중·장년 1인 가구(5.4%)가 뒤를 이었다.

주요 지원 유형별로는 ▲가스레인지·전기제품 점검 및 분전함 교체 등 화재 예방(7,010가구) ▲보일러 수리 및 난방유·온수매트 등 난방 지원(2,704가구) ▲소규모 주택 수리(1,223가구) 등이 이뤄졌다. 경제적 어려움이 큰 497가구에는 생계비와 의료비 등 생활안정자금이 긴급 투입됐다.
