(무안=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=전라남도가 아동의 건강한 성장과 촘촘한 안전망 구축을 위해 내년도 아동정책에 4,000억 원이 넘는 대규모 예산을 투입한다.

전남도는 최근 아동복지심의위원회를 개최하고 ‘2026년 아동정책 시행계획’을 최종 확정했다고 밝혔다.

이번 계획은 정부의 제3차 아동정책기본계획(2025~2029년)과 발을 맞춰, 지역 실정에 맞는 234개 사업에 총 4,196억 원을 투자하는 것을 골자로 한다.

이번 시행계획은 아동의 권익 증진과 보호 체계 내실화에 중점을 뒀다. 분야별로 ▲건강한 성장·발달 지원 124개 사업 2천507억 원 ▲취약아동 보호 강화 73개 사업 1천599억 원 ▲아동 참여 기반 권익 증진 37개 사업 90억 원이 반영됐다.

전남도는 지역 특성을 반영한 체감형 복지 서비스를 대폭 확대할 방침이다. 대표적으로 출생기본소득 지원, 찾아가는 상담 서비스인 마음건강지킴이 버스 운영, 외국인 아동 보육료 지원 등이 포함됐다.

아울러 보호가 필요한 아동을 위해 법적 권익을 대변하는 보호대상아동 공공후견인 지원 사업을 신규로 추진해 행정 사각지대를 최소화할 계획이다. 특히 아동학대 발생 시 예방부터 사후관리까지 원스톱으로 이어지는 정교한 대응 체계를 구축해 '아동 안전망'을 한층 강화한다는 구상이다.
