‘희망은 농업에, 변화는 여성농업인으로부터’라는 주제로 열린 이번 대회는 (사)한국여성농업인 전남도연합회와 함평군연합회가 주최·주관하고 전남도와 함평군이 후원했다.

이번 행사에는 황기연 전남도지사 권한대행, 김문수 전남도의회 농수산위원장, 김향숙 한국여성농업인 중앙연합회장 등 주요 내빈과 전남 지역 여성농업인 1,000여 명이 참석해 자리를 빛냈다.

개회식에서는 농업·농촌 발전과 여성농업인의 지위 향상에 기여한 공로자 27명에게 표창이 수여됐다. 시상식에서는 농림축산식품부 장관상과 농촌진흥청장상을 비롯해 전남도지사상, 한여농 중앙회장상, 농협중앙회장상, 농어촌공사장상 등이 전달되며 그간의 노고를 격려했다.
