세계적 수준의 경쟁력있는 전남 로컬 관광·문화자원을 통합 브랜드화하고, 글로벌 마케팅을 적극 추진할 계획이다. 오는 6월 17~ 18일 서울 광화문광장에서 선포식 개최를 시작으로 전남의 모든 관광·문화 이슈를 글로벌 축제와 관광의 장으로 승화해 글로벌 전남관광의 위상을 높일 방침이다.

분야별로 ‘축제·둘레길’의 경우 전남 주요 축제를 유사한 주제로 성공을 거둔 국외 축제와의 교류를 통해 인지도를 높여 글로벌 축제로 육성한다. 올해는 ‘장흥 물축제’와 태국 ‘송크란 물축제’, ‘함평 국향대전’과 베트남 ‘럼동성 달랏 꽃축제’ 교류를 시작으로 전남지역 축제 세계화에 시동을 건다.
