이들이 뛰어난 아이디어와 기술을 보유하고 있으면서도 자금 부족 등으로 인공지능(AI) 시제품을 제작하거나 제품·서비스의 상용화 또는 창업에 어려움을 겪고 있는 기업들을 발굴·지원해 실질적으로 성장할 수 있도록 돕는다.

광주시는 인공지능 기업 성장 지원을 위한 ‘AI (시)제품‧서비스 제작 및 상용화 지원’ 참여기업과 인공지능 창업 활성화를 위한 ‘K-디지털챌린지 : AI 창업 경진대회’ 참가자를 오는 30일까지 각각 모집한다.

이 사업은 과학기술정보통신부, 정보통신산업진흥원, 인공지능산업융합사업단과 함께 추진하는 인공지능 중심 산업융합 집적단지 조성사업 가운데 하나로 진행됐다.

‘AI (시)제품‧서비스 제작 지원사업’은 인공지능 시제품‧서비스를 제작해 사업화를 희망하는 창업 7년 미만의 전국 창업 초기 기업을 대상으로 52개 내외의 과제를 선정하고, 과제당 5000만원에서 1억5000만원까지 총 39억원의 시제품 제작비를 지원한다.

또 ‘AI 제품·서비스 상용화 지원사업’은 기존 인공지능 제품의 서비스 개선과 기능 향상을 희망하는 창업 초기 기업을 대상으로 15개 내외의 과제를 선정, 과제당 1억원에서 최대 2억5000만원까지 총 23억원의 상용화 지원금을 지원한다.

이번 사업에 선정된 기업들은 인공지능산업융합사업단의 창업기업 지원 프로그램을 추가로 지원받는다. 기업들은 입주 지원과 인공지능 창업교육, 투자유치설명회(IR) 참가, 인공지능데이터센터 서비스 이용, 국제인공지능학술대회 참가 등을 지원받는다.
