(나주=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=전남농업기술원은 농업용 드론 등 첨단농기계 보급이 늘어나면서 도내 농업인을 대상으로 국토교통부 인증 30여 개 드론 전문 교육기관에 위탁 운영하고 있다.

최근 농약 살포 시간과 노동력을 절감할 수 있는 드론 등을 이용한 첨단농업 기술이 대중화․다양화되고 있지만, 기계 조작에 따른 기술적 문제와 추락사고에 대한 긴급조치 등 안전교육의 중요성이 커지고 있다.

전남도농업기술원은 전남도립대학교·한국교통안전공단 광주·전남본부와 농업인 드론 안전교육체험 캠프 등 드론 관련 안전사고 예방과 안전 법규 정착을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다고 지난 16일 밝혔다.

협약에 따라 전남농업기술원은 농업인 드론 안전캠프 종합계획수립 및 체험캠프 운영 홍보와 참여대상자를 선정하고, 전남도립대는 항공·드론 혁신융합대학사업단의 드론 교육과정에 드론(무인 멀티콥터) 자격 취득자를 대상으로 안전교육 및 실무 능력 향상을 위한 농업인 드론 안전 체험캠프를 운영한다.

또한 한국교통안전공단 광주·전남본부는 초경량 비행장치 관련 법규와 등록 및 체계적인 안전관리 요령 교육 등에 힘을 모으기로 했다.

한편 전남농업기술원은 드론 교육을 통해 약 200여 명이 드론(무인 멀티콥터) 1종 자격증을 취득해 항공방제를 실시하고 있으며, 이중 40여 명(20%)은 도내 드론 방제단에 취업해 일자리 창출에 기여하고 있다.
