광주사회복지사협회는 2024년 사회복지사의 날을 기념해 ‘광주광역시 사회복지종사자 한마음 체육대회’를 개최하며 유공자 표창을 했다.

사회복지사 출신인 박미정 의원은 재선의원을 역임하는 동안 사회복지종사자 처우개선 정책토론회 등을 개최하며 대안 마련에 노력해 왔다.

그 결과 사회복지사 등 처우개선 조례 및 장기요양요원 처우개선 조례 일부개정안을 대표발의해 사회복지종사자 권익향상에 기여했다.

또한 박 의원이 설계한 ‘광주다움 통합돌봄’ 조례는 광주 복지서비스 체계를 한층 더 고도화했다는 평가를 받고 있다.
