(광주·무안=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자= 지난 1일 실시된 제8회 전국동시지방선거에서 더불어민주당 강기정 광주시장 후보와 김영록 전남도지사 후보가 국민의힘 상대로 압승했다.

광주지역 기초단체장 선거에서도 더불어민주당 후보들이 승리를 거머쥐면서 민주당 ‘텃밭’임을 다시 한 번 입증했다.

다만 전남 일부지역에는 무소속 후보들이 민주당 독식을 막았다.

2일 6시 현재 광주시장 선거는 강기정 후보가 74.91%의 득표율로 국민의힘 주기환 후보(15.9%)에 59.01% 포인트 앞서며 당선을 확정지었다.

전남도지사 선거에서는 더불어민주당 김영록 후보(75.74%)가 국민의힘 이정현 후보(18.81%)와 큰 격차를 벌이며 당선을 확정지었다. 김 후보는 전남도지사 재선 고지에 올랐다.

광주 5개 구 기초단체장 선거에서 민주당은 5곳 모두 당선권에 들었다.

동구청장에 임택, 서구청장에 김이강, 남구청장에 김병내, 북구청장에 문인, 광산구청장에 박병규 후보가 확정됐다.

임택, 김병내 문인 후보는 재선 고지에 오르게 됐다.

다만 전남 기초단체장 선거에서는 일부 지역이 무소속 후보에게 승리를 내어줬다.
