(광주=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자= 광주시는 침체된 지역 관광산업 활성화를 위해 10월까지 한시적으로 운영하기로 했던 국내관광객 유치 인센티브 확대지원을 12월까지 연장운영한다.

앞서 지난 5월 광주시는 한시적으로 지원금액을 상향하고 지원항목을 신설하는 등 관광객 유치 인센티브 확대해왔으나, 코로나19가 지속돼 여행사가 관광객을 유치하는데 어려움이 있었다.

이에 10월부터 사회적거리두기 1단계 전환과 가을 성수기 등을 맞아 국내여행이 활성화될 수 있는 계기를 마련하기 위해 인센티브 확대지원을 12월까지 연장운영키로 했다.

인센티브 내용을 살펴보면 교통비, 숙박비, 식비, 수학여행비, 홍보비, 여행조기할인상품 등을 지원한다.

교통비는 20인 이상 버스 이용 관광객 유치 시 50~120만원까지 지급하며 4인 이상 기차·항공편 이용 관광객 유치 시에는 1인 교통비 2~3만원을 지원한다.

숙박했을 경우 1인 1만원과 1인당 식사비 약 10%를 지불금액에 비례하여 지급해 주고 있다.
