(무안=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=전남도교육청이 지난 4월 28일부터 5월 5일까지 디지털 교육 세계화 교류협력국인 모로코 교원 25명을 초청해 소프트웨어(SW)‧인공지능(AI) 교육정보를 전수한다.

디지털 교육 세계화 사업은 개발도상국의 정보통신기술(ICT)활용 교육 노하우 협력 요청에 따라 지난 2005년부터 교육부 주관으로 추진해오고 있으며, 시도교육청과 개발도상국 간 1:1 교류협력으로 이뤄지고 있다.

전남교육청은 2021년부터 모로코와 교원 디지털·AI 교육 역량강화 연수, 매년 교육용 PC 100대 지원 등 기초 디지털 교육 인프라 지원에 대한 양해각서를 체결하고 4년째 교류 협력을 이어왔다.

그러나 코로나로 인해 2년간 온라인 연수로 추진하다 지난해부터 초청 연수 방식으로 진행해 큰 호응을 얻고 있다.

8일간의 일정으로 진행되는 이번 연수는 모로코 학교 현장의 디지털 활용 수업 확산을 위해 △ AI의 이해 △ 아두이노를 활용한 AI 교육 △ 햄스터 로봇을 활용한 로봇 코딩 수업 △ 자율주행 등 첨단 SW‧AI교육 활용 및 실습 중심 수업으로 이뤄진다.

또한 모로코 교원들은 목포혜인여자중학교를 방문해 특별교실과 새롭게 구축된 인공지능 교실을 둘러볼 예정이며, 이곳에서 담당교사와 함께 로봇을 활용한 수업 운영 사례를 공유하고 직접 체험·실습하는 시간을 갖는다.

이와 함께 전남교육청창의융합교육관을 비롯해 전라남도목포영재교육원, 국립호남권생물자원관, 국립광주과학관 견학을 통해 정보와 과학교육에 대한 노하우도 배우고 전주, 서울을 둘러보며 한국의 문화를 체험하는 기회도 갖는다.
