이번 기부는 지난 달 화순군의회 직원들이 선진지 견학차 고흥군의회를방문했을 때 여건이 비슷한 두 군의 발전과 의회 간 교류협력 증진 방안을모색하다 마련된 것이다.

고흥군의회 사무과장 등 11명과 화순군의회 사무과장 등 20여 명이 참석한 가운데 열린 기부식은 화순군의회 홍보영상 시청과 기부금 전달, 기념사진 촬영 순으로 진행됐다.

기부식 후에는 함께 군의회 시설물을 둘러보며 서로 간의 의회 운영과 회의 진행 등을 논의 했다.
