나주시는 오는 26일 오후 5시 30분 대호수변공원 야외무대에서 ‘새봄맞이 작은음악회’를 갖는다고 25일 밝혔다.

음악회는 공원 재단장 사업 경과보고, 기념사 등을 시작으로 나주시니어연주단의 하모니카 공연, 동신대 공연예술무용학과의 한국무용·스트릿댄스, 나주시립합창단 합창 공연 순으로 진행될 예정이다.

대호수변공원(대호동 66번지)은 총면적 약 2만㎡로 수변 데크 산책로, 잔디광장, 야외 공연장 및 관람석, 바닥분수, 정자, 체육·놀이시설 등 작은 규모에 알찬 시설들을 갖춘 공원이다.

시는 시설 노후화, 연꽃 미개화 등 공원 정비를 위해 2023년 6월부터 대호수변공원 관광자원화 사업을 본격 추진했다.

이를 통해 데크 및 체육시설 보수, 구간별 연꽃 식재, 목재놀이터 신설, 맨발길·세족장 설치, 저수지 준설 등을 올해 4월 완료했다.

수질적인 요인으로 수 년간 자취를 감췄었던 연꽃은 올해 7~8월에는 대호저수지에 만발할 것으로 기대된다.
