이날 출판기념회에는 강기정 광주시장, 김영록 전남도지사, 박지원 전 국정원장, 이개호·조오섭 국회의원, 임택 광주 동구청장 등 정·관·재·교계 인사들과 광주 동구민, 남구민, 기관·직능·사회·체육단체 관계자 등 5천여명이 몰려 새로운 도전에 나서는 안 전 차관을 응원하고 격려했다.
