(함평=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=한국의희망 양향자 대표가 17일 K-반도체의 중요성을 언급하며 “대한민국이 첨단산업 패권국가로 나아가는데 전남이 큰 역할을 할 것”이라 강조했다.

한국의희망 전국 시국토론회의 일환으로 이날 오후 전남 함평에서 진행된 특별강연회에서 참석자들은 날로 심화되는 미·중 패권 경쟁 속에서 지·기정학적 위기이자 기회인 대한민국이 나아가야 할 방향을 집중 토론했다.

양대표는 “국제적 반도체 공급망 패권 경쟁 속에서 살아남기 위해 끊임없는 기술 혁신이요구되며, 이를 위해서는 4차산업 관련 인재 육성 노력이 중앙과 지방 구분없이 전방위적으로 이뤄져야 한다”고 강조했다.

이어 “전라·광주지역은 정치 현안에 민감하게 깨어있는 만큼 과학기술을 토대로 지역소멸의 위기를 극복하고 지역의 잠재력을 발휘할 수 있기를 희망한다”면서 “전남이 탁월한 반도체 인프라 구성 여건을 활용해 우리나라 반도체의 중심으로 성장하기 위해 지금부터라도 반도체 전문인력 양성에 총력을 기울여야할 것”이라고 밝혔다.
