(광주=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=강기정 광주시장은 지난 27일 경북도청에서 열린 제5회 중앙지방협력회의에 참석해 대유위니아그룹발 지역산업 위기 극복을 위한 중앙정부 차원의 대책 마련을 요구했다.

광주시에 따르면 최근 법정관리를 신청한 대유위니아그룹 계열사 5곳 중 3곳이 기업회생 개시 결정되었고, 2곳은 결정을 기다리고 있다.
현재까지 파악된 피해업체는 400여개이며, 납품대금 미회수 등을 포함한 피해규모는 1천억원에 달할 것으로 추정되어 광주지역을 넘어 전국적 문제로 확산이 우려되는 상황이다.

이에 강기정 시장은 지역산업의 조속한 안정을 위해 ▲위니아 생산정상화를 위한 긴급 공적자금 200억원 투입 ▲신용보증기금(금융위원회) 60억원, 기술보증기금(중기부) 40억원 등 위니아와 협력업체에 대한 특례보증 확대를 정부에 건의했다.

아울러 ▲중소기업특별지원지역(중소벤처기업부), 산업위기선제대응특별지역(산업통산자원부), 고용위기지역(고용노동부) 신속한 지정 및 요건 완화와 함께 ▲어려운 근로자의 생활자금 지원을 위한 금융권 대출상품 개발 등의 대책 마련도 건의했다.

윤석열 대통령이 주재한 이날 회의에는 강 시장을 비롯해 시도지사 15명이 참석했다.

이날 협력회의에서는 ▲자치조직권 확대 방안 ▲기회발전특구 추진 방안▲자치입법권 강화 방안 ▲교육재정 합리화 방안 ▲지방주도 통합발전계획 추진 방안 등 5개 안건을 심의했다.

강기정 시장은 자치조직권 확대 방안과 관련해 행정안전부가 지자체의 국장급 기구설치 기준을 폐지하되, 기구설치 일반요건(1국 4과 이상) 준수를 강요하는 것은 오히려 시·도 자율성을 침해하는 것이라며, 실질적인 자치조직권 확대를 촉구했다.

지역소멸 대응을 주제로 이어진 종합토론에서 인공지능(AI), 미래차, 반도체 등 미래산업과 연계한 광주 인재양성 사다리 구축 정책을 소개했다.

광주 인재양성 사다리는 지역소멸과 저출생 대응의 핵심을 미래산업 일자리로 보고, 기업이 원하는 첨단산업 인재를 육성해 기업 투자와 지역 일자리가 늘어나는 선순환 구조를 만든다는 계획이다.

광주시는 삼성전자와 협력해 2024년부터 광주과학기술원에 반도체학과를 운영하고 있으며, 광주인공지능(AI)영재고 설립을 위한 광주과학기술원법 개정안이 지난달 국회 상임위를 통과하는 등 성장단계별 인재양성 프로젝트의 성과가 가시화하고 있다.
