강 시장은 이날 오후 이종호 장관을 면담하고, 지역의 미래 핵심 성장동력인 인공지능(AI) 집적단지 2단계 사업의 차질 없는 추진을 위해 신속한 예비타당성조사 통과 등 정부 지원을 요청했다.

광주의 미래 핵심산업은 인공지능을 기반으로 한 ‘케이(K)-밸리 조성’이다.광주를 세계적 수준의 국가인공지능 혁신거점으로 구축하고 인공지능 실증도시를 구현해 인공지능 혁신 생태계를 완성하는 것이 목표다.
