(나주=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=전남 지역 바이오산업의 핵심 거점인 전남바이오진흥원이 국내 바이오 기업의 글로벌 경쟁력 강화를 위해 신약 개발 전문기업과 전략적 파트너십을 구축했다.

전남바이오진흥원은 지난 21일, ㈜큐베스트바이오와 ‘첨단 바이오의약품 개발 및 상업화 촉진을 위한 업무협약(MOU)’을 체결했다고 밝혔다. 이번 협약은 급변하는 글로벌 바이오 시장에 대응해 신약 개발의 속도를 높이고 성공 가능성을 극대화하기 위해 마련됐다.

양 기관은 이번 협약에 따라 선도물질 발굴에서부터 비임상, 임상 단계에 이르는 전주기적 개발 과정에서 긴밀하게 협력하기로 했다.

주요 협력 분야는 ▲선도물질 및 개발 후보물질 최적화 지원 ▲비임상 시험 설계 및 임상시험계획(IND) 승인 전략 수립 ▲미 FDA IND 대응 및 미국 초기 임상시험(Phase I, IIa) 추진 등이다
