(브레이크뉴스 광주·전남) 이학수 기자=전남도는 오는 29일까지 동부청사 갤러리에서 광양장애인평생교육원 학습자 17명의 1년간 평생교육 성과물을 전시한다고 밝혔다.

전시에선 시화, 그림일기, 공예, 캘리그라피 등 학습자들이 직접 창작한 30점의 다양한 작품을 선보인다. 학습자들의 예술적 잠재력과 창의성을 조명하고, 자존감 향상과 지역 주민들과의 소통을 통해 장애인식 개선과 사회통합 도모 기회 마련을 위해 추진됐다.

동부청사 갤러리는 지역 주민과 예술에 관심이 있는 누구나 무료로 관람할 수 있다. 지역 예술과 창작 활동을 장려하고, 다양한 커뮤니티의 목소리를 담은 전시회를 적극 지원할 계획이다.

노영환 전남도 문화예술과장은 “이번 전시회는 장애인 학습자들이 쏟아낸 열정과 창작의 결실을 지역사회와 함께 나누는 소중한 기회”라며 “많은분이 방문해 학습자들의 노력을 응원해주길 바란다”고 말했다.

한편 전남도는 장애인의 삶과 권리보장을 위해 전남도 수어교육원 설치·운영, 장애예술인 창작센터 조성, 전남도 시각장애인 점자도서관 지원 등 다양한 사업을 추진하고 있다.
