(무안=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=전남도는 23일 함평군 문화체육센터에서 ‘2024년 전남 귀농어귀촌인 어울림대회’를 열어 귀농어귀촌인과 함께 지방소멸 위기 극복을 위한 도시민 유치 확대에 노력할 것을 다짐했다.

어울림대회에는 김영록 전남도지사, 김옥환 전남도귀농어귀촌인연합회장, 고재영 전국귀농어귀촌인연합회장, 주상봉 대한민국재향경우회장, 김문수 전남도의회 농수산위원장, 이남오 함평군의회 의장 등 600여 명이 참석했다.

행사에선 제2 베이비부머(1965~1974) 세대 은퇴에 대비해 전남도-대한민국재향경우회-전남귀농어귀촌인연합회 간 도시민 유치를 위한 상생 발전 업무협약을 했다.

대한민국재향경우회는 1960년 설립된 퇴직 경찰공무원 단체로 150만 명의 회원이 활동하고 있다. 협약을 통해 전남도의 귀농어귀촌 프로그램 참여·홍보에 적극 협력하고, 전남도와 함께 도시민 유치 활동을 강화할 예정이다.

이날 행사는 (사)전남도 귀농어귀촌인연합회 주관으로, 우수 귀농어귀촌인 도시자 표창, 업무협약, 퍼포먼스, 시군별 노래자랑 순으로 진행됐다.

시상식에서는 김종탁 장흥군귀농어귀촌인연합회장 등 5명이 귀농어귀촌인의 안정적 정착과 지역사회 융화에 기여한 공로로 도지사 표창장을 받았다.

김영록 지사는 “이번 어울림대회가 귀농어·귀촌인의 꿈과 희망을 응원하고, 상호 소통과 협력을 강화하는 중요한 계기가 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 활력 넘치는 농산어촌 조성을 위해 다각적인 지원에 나서겠다”고 말했다.
