(무안=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=전남도는 과학기술정보통신부의 2025년 스마트빌리지 보급 및 확산사업 공모에 선정돼 내륙에 이어 영해 공간정보 서비스도 제공, 해양쓰레기 수거·유해생물 관리 등 해양지역 현안 해결을 지원할 계획이라고 밝혔다.

선정 사업은 드론·인공지능(AI) 기술 활용 지능형 해양 공간정보 구축사업이다. 총사업비 30억 원 중 올해 국비 4억 원을 확보했다. 해수욕장, 어촌마을 경관 개선, 해양쓰레기 업사이클링으로 연안 생태계가 회복되고, 어민 소득 증대와 생활 편의 개선이 기대된다.

스마트빌리지 사업은 인공지능·데이터 등을 활용한 디지털 서비스 도입을 지원해 지역사회의 디지털 전환과 경쟁력을 강화, 삶의 질을 높이고 균형발전도 도모하기 위한 것이다.

전남도는 사업 선정에 따라 해양쓰레기 우심지역 탐지·분석·모니터링 통계 데이터의 시각화에 나선다.

또한 해양쓰레기 분포와 해류 정보를 분석해 계절별 해양쓰레기 유입 경로를 예측하고 해양쓰레기 수거와 방제 대책 수립 등 간접 지원을 위해 해당 지역에 고정형 무인 드론 스테이션을 설치해 실시간 해양쓰레기 위치 알림 서비스를 할 예정이다.

사업 추진 과정에서 취득한 공간정보를 기반으로 해안 모래 침식, 폐어선 관리, 무인도 방치 쓰레기, 해양 유해생물 관리와 같은 섬, 소항구, 어촌계 지역별 현안 해결을 지원할 계획이다.
