(장흥=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=제41회 전남도의용소방대 기술경연대회가 22일 순천팔마종합운동장에서 열렸다.

전남도 의용소방대연합회가 주최하고 전남소방본부와 순천시가 주관한 이날 행사에는 김영록 전남도지사, 김태균 전남도의회 의장과 도의원, 노관규 순천시장, 강형구 순천시의회 의장과 군의원, 22개 시군 의용소방대와 가족 등 4천여 명이 참석했다.

김영록 지사는 “관할 면적이 넓은 전남의 특성상 재난상황에서 의용소방대가 큰 도움이 되고 있다”며 “지역 안전지킴이 역할에 전념하도록 전남도가 적극 지원하겠다”고 말했다.

노관규 시장은 환영사에서 “의용소방대와 소방가족 공무원의 단합과 단결로 더욱 안전한 전남과 순천을 만들어주길 기대한다”고 말했다.

오승훈 전남소방본부장은 “전남소방은 1만 1천여 의용소방대와 함께 재난으로부터 도민의 안전을 지키기 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
