생활복지학과 소비자 전공 교수진의 대면 교육과 옥경영 교수(숙명여대), 전상민 교수(충북대), 배순영 연구원(한국소비자원)의 강의 등 알찬 프로그램이 됐다.

청년 소비자 리더 아카데미는 전문적이고 체계적인 교육을 통해 청년 소비자 강사를 육성해서 고령층의 디지털 격차 해소하는 사업으로, 공정거래위원회가 주관하고 (사)한국소비자정책교육학회와 (사)한국소비자단체협의회가 수행한다.

올해 청년 소비자리더 아카데미는 전남대를 포함한 16개 대학에서 운영됐다. 전체적으로 대학생 400여 명과 학교 밖 청년 100여 명이 해당 아카데미에 참여했다.

전남대에서는 35명의 학생이 참여해, 34명이 아카데미를 수료했다. 34명의 청년 강사들은 (사)소비자단체협의회와 함께 각 지역의 디지털 취약계층인 노인을 대상으로 디지털 기기 사용법, 정보수집 및 유의사항, 피해구제방법 등의 내용을 전달하는 교육봉사를 진행할 계획이다.
