(나주=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=전남도농업기술원은 올해 농업기술보급혁신 우수사례 경진대회에서 최우수상을 수상했다고 지난 20일 밝혔다.

농촌진흥청에서 주관한 이번 대회는 농업기술 혁신과 농가소득 향상에 기여한 기술보급사업·정부혁신 우수사례 발굴·확산을 위해 4개 부문으로 나눠 진행됐다.

전남농업기술원은 농업기술보급혁신 부문에서 ‘축산농가 맞춤형 냄새저감 환경개선 기술 실증’ 우수사례를 소개해 최우수상의 영예를 안았다.

농업기술원은 축산 냄새 민원 해결을 위해 2021년부터 올해까지 사업비 24억 원을 투입했으며, 전남지역 17개 농장에 축산연구소에서 개발한 냄새 저감 미생물 등 농장에 맞는 유형별 모델 실증을 통해 냄새 물질 및 민원감소와 가축 생산성 향상에 기여했다는 평가를 받았다.

특히 시군 농가선정과 투입기술 설계, 냄새 분석 등 사업 전반에 대한 전문가의 기술지원을 통해 인력과 예산 부담을 덜고 농장 환경을 고려한 맞춤형 컨설팅 등 기술 반영을 위해 노력했다.

박홍재 전남농업기술원장은 “시군과 관련 기관과의 정보공유와 협업을 통해 악취 민원을 줄여가고 쾌적한 축산농장 조성과 가축 생산성 향상 등 지속 가능한 전남 축산업 육성을 위한 기술 보급에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
