광주시는 31일 오후 광주역에서 ‘창업 성공률이 높은 도시 광주 시민보고회’를 열고, 창업 성공도시로 가는 로드맵을 제시했다.

강기정 시장은 이날 보고회에서 “전 세계가 신성장동력으로 스타트업을 주목하고 있고 국내에서도 유니콘기업이 탄생하고 있는 만큼 창업기업은 광주의 미래이자 새로운 변화의 시작”이라며 “창업 성공률이 높은 도시로 가기 위해서는 지역기업의 ‘시장경쟁력 확보’라는 필요조건과 엔젤투자자‧창업기업‧벤처캐피털 등이 ‘광주에 올 수밖에 없는’ 충분조건이 맞물려야 가능한 일이다. 그러기 위해서는 투자-인프라-인재로 연결되는 창업성장 사다리가 필요하다”고 강조했다.
