이날 협약식에는 이상심 전남도 보건복지국장, 한인권 고용노동부 목포지청장 등 관계자 10여 명이 참석해 저소득층 등 복지 수급자의 안정적 일자리 취업을 통한 탈수급 및 자립 지원에 적극 협력하기로 약속했다.

협약에 따라 전남도는 자활근로 사업, 자산형성 지원, 긴급복지사업 참여자 중 취업을 바라는 사람의 정보를 고용노동부에 제공해 취업 지원이 필요한 구직자가 집중 취업지원 서비스를 받도록 지원한다.

고용노동부 목포지청은 국민취업지원제도 전남지역 참여자에게 맞춤형 취업지원서비스를 하고 전남도 복지·고용 서비스를 우선적으로 참여하도록 안내하는 등 다양한 지원 방안을 마련하게 된다.
