김영록 전남도지사는 6일(현지 시간) 타슈켄트주청에서 조이르 미르자예프 타슈켄트 주지사, 코피아(KOPIA) 우즈베키스탄 소장 등 40여 명이 참석한 가운데 전남도와 타슈켄트 간 우호교류 의향서를 체결했다.

협정식은 양 지역 홍보영상 상영, 인사말씀, 교류의향서 서명, 기념품 교환 등 순으로 진행됐다.

이날 협정에는 전남도가 우즈베키스탄에 공적개발원조(ODA) 사업으로 추진하는 스마트농업 정밀관수 시범사업에 대한 수원국(원조를 받는 나라) 동의서 전달식이 이뤄져 공적개발원조 사업 추진에 탄력이 붙게 됐다. 전남도는 다음 달 있을 한국국제협력단(KOICA) 공모사업에 ‘타슈켄트 지역 스마트농업 정밀관수 시범사업’신청서를 제출할 계획이다.

우호교류 의향서 체결에 따라 전남도와 타슈켄트는 경제·통상, 문화, 관광, 농업 등 모든 분야에서 실질적인 교류 확대에 상호 협력하게 된다.

특히 탄소중립 및 신재생에너지 개발정책을 적극 추진하는 우즈베키스탄과 에너지신산업에 대한 협력이 확대될 것으로 기대된다.
