관광자원 개발을 통한 동부권 지역경제 활성화는 물론 남해안권 세계적 해양레저관광벨트 구축에 탄력을 받을 것으로 기대된다.

이날 협약식엔 김영록 전남도지사와 박치영 모아그룹 회장, 송용민 여수레저개발 대표, 윤중섭 여수챌린지파크관광 회장, 윤경화 두제이산업 대표, 정기명 여수시장, 이재태·이광일·강문성 전남도의원 등이 참석했다.

협약에 따라 모아그룹과 여수레저개발은 2030년까지 여수 돌산읍 평사리 일원 141만 5천㎡ 부지에 7천10억 원을 투자해 휴양형 해양레저복합단지를 조성한다. 200실 규모 5성급 호텔과 890실 숙박시설, 2천 석 규모 컨벤션센터, 푸드테마파크, 해안유원지(마리나), 18홀 규모 대중골프장을 조성해 세계적 관광명소로 거듭날 것으로 기대된다.

모아그룹은 전국 아파트 3만 6천여 세대 분양 실적이 있는 2022년 기준 시공능력 평가순위 전국 87위의 호남 중견기업이다.
