영호남 시도지사 협력회의는 전남도와 부산시, 대구시, 광주시, 울산시, 전북도, 경북도, 경남도, 8개 시·도지사가 참여한 협의체다.

이들은 이날 대한민국 어디서나 살기 좋은 지방시대 실현을 위해 지방정부가 자립할 실질적 권한과 제도적 보완이 필요하다는 데 깊이 공감하고 공동 정책 협력과제 8건과 영호남 광역철도망 및 광역도로망 구축을 공동성명서에 담았다.
