(광주=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자= 광주시소방안전본부는 지난 17일 북구 종합체육관에서 ‘의로운 마음, 뜨거운 용기로 다시 힘차게!’를 주제로 제2회 의용소방대의 날 기념행사를 개최했다.

이날 행사에는 강기정 시장을 비롯해 광주시의회 정무창 의장, 임미란 행정자치위원장, 의용소방대원 740여명 등 총 800여명이 참석했다. 소방악대 연주와 의용소방대원 시 낭독 등 축하공연을 시작으로 유공자 표창, 축사, 기념촬영 순으로 진행됐다.

의용소방대의 날은 의용소방대가 최초로 법률에 규정된 날인 3월11일과 소방의 상징인 119를 조합해 3월19일로 정해졌으며, 2021년 ‘의용소방대 설치 및 운영에 관한 법률’이 개정되면서 올해 2회째를 맞았다.

유공자 표창은 동부소방서 장민주 동부여성의용소방대 부대장이 대통령상 표창을 받았으며, 행정안전부장관 표창 3명, 소방청장 표창 5명, 시장 표창 19명 등 총 28명이 수여 받았다.
