이날 보고회에선 2008년 여수 개최 이후 15년 만에 전남에서 다시 열리는 전국체전을 성공적으로 개최하기 위해 체전 종목별 경기가 분산 개최되는 22개시군과 유기적 협력체계를 강화키로 했다.

이에 앞서 전남도는 지난해 10월 각 실국, 사업본부, 도교육청, 도경찰청, 도체육회, 도장애인체육회 등과 1차 준비상황을 점검했었다.

보고회는 문금주 전남도 행정부지사 주재로 22개 시군 부단체장이 참여한 가운데 전국체전기획단장의 양대 체전 총괄보고에 이어 시군별 체전 주요 준비상황, 향후 실행계획 등을 논의했다.
