(무안=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자= 전남지역 농업인들의 최고 영예인 ‘전라남도 농업인대상’의 올해 수상자가 확정됐다.

전남도는 지난 28일 기술개발, 경영혁신을 통해 농업구조를 저비용·고소득으로 개선하고, 농산물 고품질화로 농업경쟁력 확보 등에 공헌한 농업인대상 수상자를 6개 분야(고소득 쌀생산, 원예․특용작물, 유통․가공, 축산, 임업, 농산물 수출)로 나눠 각 1명씩 선정했다고 밝혔다.

올해 수상자는 ▲고소득 쌀 생산 분야 ‘진도군 박성완’ ▲원예․특용작물 분야 ‘순천시 정지환’ ▲유통․가공분야 ‘영암군 박정희’ ▲축산분야 ‘나주시 김양길’ ▲임업분야 ‘화순군 최남용’ ▲농산물 수출분야 ‘장성군 장현순’ 등이다.

수상자들은 창의적인 노력으로 농업이 처한 어려움을 극복하고 농가 소득증대와 농업발전에 크게 기여한 공적을 인정받아 수상의 영예를 안았다.

농업인 대상은 지난 8월과 9월 시･군 및 유관 기관단체로부터 신청 받아 최근 전라남도 농업･농촌 및 식품산업정책심의회를 거쳐 최종 결정됐다.

수상자에 대한 시상은 11월 9일 개최될 ‘제25회 농업인의 날 행사’ 기념식에서 이뤄진다.

김경호 전남도 농축산식품국장은 “수상자들의 명예를 높이기 위해 앞으로 시․군 및 각종 농업인 교육 등에서 성공 사례를 홍보·전파하고, 수상자들이 전남 농업발전을 이끌어 갈 선도 농업인으로서의 역할을 할 수 있도록 여건을 조성하겠다”고 말했다.
