25일 열린 개회식에는 전남도와 여수시 등 지자체 관계자와 효성·한양·두산·포스코, 서울대·한국에너지공과대학·에너지경제연구원·에너지기술평가원 등 산·학·연 수소산업 전문가와 대학원생 등이 참여해 수소에너지 연구개발 및 수소산업 생태계 활성화를 위한 의지를 다졌다.

이날 전남도는 에너지경제연구원, 효성중공업, ㈜한양, 린데코리아와 함께 ‘전남도 수소산업 육성 방향’ 세션에서 8.2GW 해상풍력과 연계한 ‘그린수소 에너지섬 조성’ 사업을 소개했다. 또 여수, 광양 및 율촌산단을 아우르는 대규모 배관망 사업인 ‘여수·광양 수소 공급 공용기반시설 구축’ 사업 등 수소산업 생태계 구축 및 활성화를 위한 사업을 소개하며 청정 수소산업 중심지로 거듭나겠다는 포부를 밝혔다.

이번에 개최한 춘계학술대회에선 창립 이래 처음으로 약 500여 편의 논문 발표와 학술 프로그램 55편 이상이 진행되는 등 각계 전문가의 깊이 있는 발표가 이어져 그동안의 성과를 공유하고 미래 추진전략 등에 대한 의견을 나눴다.
