이날 협의회에서는 당면 영농현황 및 종합 영농지원 추진상황을 점검하고, 농촌지도사업의 다양한 수요에 대응하고자 농촌진흥기관 중심의 기술보급에서 민간 보유 우수 기술의 현장 보급 확대를 위한 ‘기술보급확산 지원단 구성․운영’ 계획 등 당면 영농 추진상황을 공유하고 발전방안을 모색했다.

특히 도내 가루쌀 생산단지 13개소에 대해 시군농업기술센터와 농촌진흥청-농업기술원-민간 전문가가 참여해 영농단계별 현장 기술지원을 함께 추진하기로 했다.

또 청년농업인 스마트팜 자립기반 구축 사업비 20개소를 추가로 확보해 청년농업인 경영실습 임대농장 운영 경험자와 고흥군 소재 스마트팜 혁신밸리 교육 이수자 등이 도내에 안정적으로 정착할 수 있도록 지원하기로 했다.

박홍재 전남농업기술원장은 “3년 이상 지속된 코로나19 상황도 6월부터 전면 해제되는 만큼 더욱 활발한 현장 중심의 농촌지도사업 추진을 통해 청년농업인 육성, 농식품 수출시장 개척, 지역특화작목 육성 등 역점업무 추진에 박차를 가하겠다”고 말했다.
