제104회 전국 체육대회는 오는 10월 13일부터 19일까지, 제43회 전국장애인체육대회는 11월 3일부터 8일까지 주 개최지인 목포시와 전남 22개 시·군에서 분산 개최된다.

화순군은 전국체전에서 배드민턴 대회를 배정받아 하니움문화스포츠센터(주경기장)와 이용대체육관(보조경기장)에서 경기를 운영한다.

이번 쓰담 달리기 활동은 화순군여성단체협의회 회원 30여 명이 전국체전 성공 기원과 자원봉사 홍보를 위해 실시했다.

군 관계자는 “전남에서 15년 만에 개최되는 전국(장애인)체전의 성공적인 행사 추진을 위해 자원봉사자 모집과 홍보를 위해 더욱 힘쓰겠다.”라고 밝혔다.
