(무안=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자= 전남도는 농림축산식품부 ‘2023년 국가․지방관리방조제 개보수사업’신규 착수 대상지로 총 27개 지구 중 21개 지구가 선정돼 전국 최다를 기록했다고 밝혔다.

올해 선정된 신규 착수 대상지는 국가관리 3개 지구, 지방관리 18개 지구다.

방조제 개보수사업은 노후 방조제의 제방, 배수갑문 및 부속시설을 미리 보수‧보강해 홍수, 태풍, 해안침식 등 자연재해에 따른 시설물 붕괴와 파손을 예방하고 바닷물 유입을 막아 농경지를 보호하는 사업이다.

전남도는 현재 추진 중인 6개 시군 35개 지구와 올해 신규 선정된 21개 지구에 국비와 지방비 1천268억 원을 들여 2025년까지 사업을 완료할 계획이다.

신규 착수하는 21개 지구 중 국가관리방조제 3개 지구는 ▲영암 ▲보성 ▲신안 태천지구다. 지방관리방조제 18개 지구엔 ▲강진 장계2 ▲고흥 해내․송림․화도1․남성 ▲해남 묵동․백포2 ▲신안 소동면․화랑․애미․저동․신촌1․일출․큰들2․봉도유호․소당두․전광2․소포가전이다.

신규 지구는 설계 착수 단계부터 전남도와 시군, 한국농어촌공사가 협력해 기후변화에 따른 기상이변에 대응하고 지역 주민 의견을 수렴한 세부설계를 연내 완료하고 2024년 상반기 착공토록 할 방침이다.

윤재광 전남도 농업정책과장은 “농업 재해 예방과 농업인 소득 향상을 위해 낙후 농업 기반시설 개선, 보수․보강에 최선을 다하겠다”며 “사업 조기 마무리를 위해 국고예산 추가 확보에 집중하겠다”고 밝혔다.
