(무안=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자= 전남도는 경로당 이용 어르신에게 소일거리 제공을 통한 소득 창출과 여가 선용 기회를 제공하는 ‘경로당 공동작업장’ 34개소에 1억 4천만 원을 투입한다고 밝혔다.

도에 따르면 경로당 공동작업장 지원은 단순 사랑방 역할만 하던 마을 경로당을 어르신의 소일거리 공간으로도 활용토록 재료비, 임차비, 운영비 등을 지원하는 사업이다. 

개소당 300만~1천만 원의 사업비를 차등 지원하며, 12월 말까지 사업을 추진한다.

올해 추진하는 경로당 공동작업장 34개소에선 ▲농산물 공동생산 ▲손뜨개질 ▲메주․고추장 만들기 ▲식품 제조 ▲통발 만들기 등을 추진한다.

발생한 수익금은 참여자 인건비로 지원하거나 다음 해 사업비 또는 각종 기부 등에 사용된다. 어르신의 소득 창출, 자존감 향상에 크게 기여하고 있다.

2022년 경로당 공동작업장 만족도 조사 결과 참여자의 92.4%가 사업에 ‘만족’했으며 ▲건강 유지 ▲여가시간 활용 ▲친교활동 ▲용돈 마련 등에 도움이 된다고 응답했다.

김평권 전남도 노인복지과장은 “경로당 공동작업장이 어르신 용돈벌이와 건강 유지 등 긍정적 기능을 한다”며 “지역 특성에 맞는 공동작업장을 지속 발굴해 확대 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.
